The district’s proficiency rate of 62.1 percent in math topped the state average by more than 16 percent and was second among the state’s 10 largest districts (in terms of student population).  In Reading, ISD 728 placed third among the 10 largest school districts in the state with a 60.7 percent  proficiency rate.  This rate was more than 11 percent higher than the state. The district’s proficiency rate in science, 50.6 percent, was more than 11 percent higher than the state and was also third among the 10 largest districts in the state.

Compared to all 327 regular and special districts, the district’s results are in the top 8 percent in math and in the top 11 percent in both reading and science.

The efforts of our teachers and leadership, along with our focus on fostering a learning environment where everyone thrives, clearly reflect one of our core values.”
